Thinc Design wanted to create an immersive, highly ambient environment for the Steinhart Aquarium within the new California Academy of Sciences (CAS) in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park. The reconstructed CAS is one of the world's most sustainable public buildings, designed by world-renowned architect Renzo Piano, opening to the public on September 27, 2008.

Thinc asked ALEXANDRE MOORS and UVPhactory to create the visual media component for the aquarium exhibit.

The nine-screen, 360-degree film, 'Water is Life', explores water's impact on life, above and below sea level. The film takes viewers on an emotional journey into the ways in which water is one of our most powerful and precious resources and how its scarcity could threaten all life forms on Earth.

Emmy winner Julia Louis-Dreyfus narrates the five-minute film.
